Our History

Three Decades of
Forming Whole Persons

What began as a small mission school founded by a dedicated congregation of sisters has grown into one of the region's most respected Catholic institutions — without ever losing sight of its founding purpose.

Through every chapter of its history, Mater Dei has remained committed to integrating faith and reason, forming students who are intellectually curious, morally grounded, and ready to serve. Our story is not just one of buildings and programs — it is a story of lives transformed by the love of God and the pursuit of truth.

Today, with over 1,100 students and a faculty of dedicated educators, we continue to build on this legacy — honoring the past while boldly embracing the future.

Vision & Mission

The Heart of Everything We Do

Our vision and mission are not simply statements on a wall — they are the living principles that guide every decision, every lesson, and every life we touch.

Our Vision

To be a beacon of Catholic education — forming graduates who lead with faith, think with clarity, and act with courage in every corner of the world.

"A school that forms not just scholars, but saints."

Our Mission

To provide a rigorous Catholic education that forms the whole person — intellectually, spiritually, and morally — so that every student may discover their God-given potential and serve the world with excellence and compassion.

"Forming young men and women of faith, excellence, and integrity."

God at the center of everything

Faith

Everything we do is rooted in our Catholic identity and the belief that God is at the center of all learning and life. Faith is not a subject we study — it is the lens through which we see the world.

Pursue the highest standard

Excellence

We hold ourselves to the highest academic and personal standards, pursuing greatness as a reflection of our God-given potential. Mediocrity is never the goal — excellence in all things is our calling.

Social Responsibility

We recognise our role in building a just and compassionate society, taking action that uplifts communities and promotes the common good. Our education is not complete until it serves others.

Every person is made in God's image

Respect for Human Dignity

We honour the inherent worth of every human being, created in the image and likeness of God, and commit to treating all with reverence and care. Dignity is non-negotiable — it is the foundation of how we live together.
